CES 25.03 was renamed to CES 18—the same Reef release line under a new name. The date-based 25.03 number (March 2025) caused confusion, so CES version numbers now follow the upstream Ceph release: CES 18 is Ceph Reef 18. For current Reef documentation, use CES 18.

CES 25.03 Release Series

CES 25.03 is now CES 18

CES 25.03 was renamed to CES 18. It's the same Reef release line under a new name. The 25.03 number was based on the release date—25 for the release year 2025, and 03 for the month, March—which caused confusion, because the release actually contains Ceph Reef 18.2.4. CES version numbers now follow the upstream Ceph release, so CES 18 is Ceph Reef 18. For current documentation, see the CES 18 release series.

The CES 25.03 series represents a major advancement with the transition to Ceph Reef 18.2.4. This series focuses on enhanced stability, improved cephadm functionality, and better IPv6 support.
